The welcoming Janela da Serra restaurant is located just outside the Church, in the friendly village of Salir.

Historically this beautiful and quaint property has changed quite a lot over the centuries. Original it was an animal shed, where the locals would water and feed their animals, while they attended Church services and it was later transformed into a shoemaker before receiving a full transformation, turning it into the welcoming house we can all enjoy at the present.

Discover a varied menu filled with many Portuguese traditional specialties and try our amazing ‘Tapas & Petiscos’ as you gaze at the peacefuly scenery of the neighbouring countryside hills.

“Great, cozy location right next to the church. I was there on a slow Saturday evening in late October. The staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to choosing from the tapas menu. I loved my crispy chilly squid! Actually, I liked them so much that I didn't eat the pork chop which I had also ordered - instead I got another serving of the squid. Loved it. Will be back next year with my wife!"
